At the Minnedosa Legion Branch #138 Minnedosa, we stand proudly beside those who have served—past and present. We have supported veterans from the Second World War and Korea, to more recent conflicts such as the Former Yugoslavia and Afghanistan, and we are prepared to support veterans as conflicts continue to evolve.

We recognize that while the nature of service has changed over time, the bonds of duty, sacrifice, and resilience remain the same. Our Legion is a place where generations of veterans can come together—sharing experiences, supporting one another, and building a strong sense of community.

Through programs, peer support initiatives, and community engagement, we strive to ensure that no veteran stands alone. Whether it is fostering connection, promoting mental health and well-being, or honouring the legacy of those who came before us, we are dedicated to supporting every veteran’s journey.

We are proud to have a Veteran Service Officer with 37 years of military service, uniquely positioned to support veterans and their families. From navigating Veterans Affairs Canada applications to connecting you with Legion programs and benefits, we are here to ensure you receive the support you deserve.

At the Minnedosa Legion Branch #138 Minnedosa, we are proud to be an active part of our local community. While we honour and support our veterans, our work extends far beyond—bringing people together, supporting local initiatives, and strengthening the fabric of Minnedosa.

Throughout the year, we host and support a variety of community-focused events that welcome everyone. From social gatherings and fundraisers to local programs and partnerships, our goal is simple: to create opportunities for connection, generosity, and community pride.

Our initiatives include:

• Hosting community meals and social events open to all

• Supporting local organizations, youth programs, and schools

• Fundraising for community causes and outreach programs

• Partnering with local businesses and groups to give back

• Providing a welcoming space for gatherings, events, and celebrations

Charity & Community Support – Giving Back to Minnedosa

At the MinnedosaLegion Branch #138 Minnedosa, giving back to our community is a core part of who we are. Through fundraising, donations, and volunteer efforts, we are proud to support local organizations and initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Our contributions extend across a wide range of community needs, including:

• Local Healthcare Support – Providing funding to our local hospital to help enhance care and services for residents of Minnedosa and surrounding areas.

• Youth Programs – Supporting youth hockey and other local initiatives that encourage teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyles for the next generation.

• Mental Health & Veteran Support – Working alongside organizations such as Project Resilience 911 and Paws 4 Valour, helping to promote mental health awareness and provide support programs for veterans and first responders.

These efforts are made possible through the generosity of our members, volunteers, and the community who support our events and initiatives.

We believe that strong communities are built through compassion, service, and a commitment to helping others. Every dollar raised and every event hosted contributes directly back into Minnedosa—supporting not just causes, but people.
