Support For our Veterans
Veteran Support & Advocacy
At the Minnedosa Legion Branch #138 Minnedosa, we are committed to ensuring that every Veteran and serving member has access to the support, guidance, and advocacy they deserve.
Our Branch is proud to offer not only a dedicated Veterans Service Officer, but also the expertise of a Provincial Representative for Operational Stress Injury (OSI) for Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. This ensures that our members and community have direct access to knowledgeable, experienced support—whether navigating Veterans Affairs Canada programs, accessing Legion services, or seeking assistance with operational stress injuries and mental health.
Chief Warrant Officer (Retired) Joel Langley, MMM, CD brings over 36 years of distinguished service in the Canadian Armed Forces, including operational deployments in the former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, and numerous domestic missions. His extensive leadership experience, combined with his continued service to the Legion, places him in a unique position to understand and support today’s Veterans and serving members.
Following his military career, Joel—alongside his wife Shauna—co-founded Paws 4 Valour, a program dedicated to supporting mental health through canine companionship and structured training. His commitment to service continues through his roles as Legion Service Officer, Zone Commander, and Provincial OSI Representative.
Whether you need assistance with benefits, guidance through Veterans Affairs Canada applications, or simply someone who understands your journey—we are here for you.
