Service Summary

Robert Murray Graham enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in May 1943 at age 18. He trained in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, and Prince Edward Island as an Air Gunner.

Wartime Experience

Robert later instructed other airmen before deploying overseas in 1945 aboard the New Amsterdam.

He trained on Wellington and Lancaster bombers in England. After the war in Europe ended, he volunteered for Pacific service, but the surrender of Japan brought the conflict to a close before further deployment.

He was discharged in 1946 with the rank of Flight Sergeant.

Post-Service Life

Robert worked with Manitoba Highways from 1947 until retirement in 1985.

In 1949, he married Phyllis Milton of Newdale, and they raised three children. They later retired to Minnedosa.
