Service Summary
Scott Gerald Collen enlisted in September 2000 and trained with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Winnipeg.
Wartime Experience
Following the events of September 11, 2001, Scott deployed to Afghanistan in 2002. He later served a second tour in 2006 during intense operations in Kandahar, including Operation Medusa.
During this deployment, he was seriously injured in a suicide bombing while on patrol. After evacuation and recovery, he returned to service, demonstrating resilience and dedication.
Post-Service Life
Scott continued his military career, achieving the rank of Sergeant and serving at CFB Shilo. He and his wife Pam raised a family in the Minnedosa area.
