Service Summary

Frederick George Brown enlisted in November 1944 at the age of 18. He completed his training in Winnipeg and Camp Shilo.

Fred remained in Canada during his service, contributing through training and domestic duties. He was granted farm leave to assist with agricultural production during wartime.

Post-Service Life

After discharge in 1945, Fred returned to farming. He later worked in mining before returning to Basswood to continue farming operations.

He was a dedicated Legion member and volunteer throughout his life.
