Service Summary
Edward “Eddy” Brewer enlisted in July 1940 with the RCASC. He trained in Winnipeg, Shilo, and Camp Borden before serving in various roles across Canada and overseas.
Wartime Experience
Eddy served as a dispatch driver and transported supplies, personnel, and equipment throughout England. He also drove high-ranking officers and performed critical logistics duties during the war.
Following V.E. Day, he assisted in transporting military equipment back to headquarters.
Post-Service Life
After returning to Canada in 1946, Eddy resumed his career with the Canadian Pacific Railway, retiring after 27 years of service.
He and his wife Mary raised two daughters and remained active in community and Legion activities.
